SBR Triathlon was formed in early 2012 with a simple philosophy; that everyone can embark on a triathlon journey, and that whatever the goal maybe, they are all equally impressive.
The club grew from humble beginnings to currently (April 2018) being the only club in Australia with its own dedicated facility that includes indoor training, bike workshop, strength and conditioning and recovery lounge.
All coaches are still active athletes within the triathlon community racing at local, state, national and international level across all distances. This perspective ensures that they are in touch with current race experiences and can guide athletes in their pathway objectives.
Specialising in age group athletes from beginner to experienced, the outcome is not about how many podiums the club can claim, but how many goals can be achieved by the collective group.
Encouraging persistence and not giving up, has seen SBR athletes representing their country at world championships more than 10 times in the past few years, over 30 athletes a year tackling their first ever triathlon, dozens of athletes taking the ultimate leap into long course triathlon and even into the realms of Ultraman.

Maxing out is a TV and Web documentary that follows well known celebrities on a journey to their first ever Iron Distance Triathlon - Swimming 3.8km, Riding 180km and Running a 42.2km marathon, all within 15 hours on one day in July 2018 . This is a documentary to mirror the struggle of everyday challenges dealing with a child with Autism as we endeavour to raise much needed funds and awareness for Autism Spectrum disorder. 4 ASD KIDS does incredible things in this to help families impacted by Autism and we are putting our athletes through this challenge to be able to help more of these families.
Please dig deep and support these guys getting out of their comfort zone for ASD kids and their families in need. Every little bit counts!
